Eligibility

Residents of South Salt Lake who have water and/or sewer utility billing. Covers water and sewer utility expenses billed directly from the City of South Salt Lake (no other water providers are eligible for this assistance). Household gross income at or below 150% of the federal poverty line, have suffered a life-changing event (i), and/or have experienced a significant reduction in income (ii).

To enroll, call Utah Community Action directly, as they administer the South Salt Lake Utility Payment Assistance Program.

A utility payment assistance program that helps residents of South Salt Lake ONLY (including those served by Jordan Valley, Mount Olympus Valley, or Salt Lake City water providers) with water, sewer, and garbage utilities payments ONLY. This program does not help with power or natural gas utilities. The program runs Oct 1 - Sept 30, and the maximum assistance amount is $150 or the balance of the utility account, whichever is less.
