Eligibility

Must verify a physical or mental health impairment that prevents basic work activities in any occupation for at least 60 days or longer from the date of application. Also, must also meet certain citizenship, household (no dependent children in their care) and income requirements.

Apply by phone, online through myCase, or by completing a paper application. Customers who are currently receiving benefits do not need to submit an application.
