Provides visits by screened and trained volunteers to individuals who are homebound, isolated, and in need of companionship. The friendly visitor may also provide information about community resources available to help individuals retain their independence as long as they choose. Other services may include visiting and making friendly phone calls, respite care, shopping or other errands, assisting care recipient with unfinished projects, or light house and yard work.
