Investigates signs of emotional and verbal abuse through unexplained bruising, withdrawal and passivity, low self esteem, neglect such as dehydration, abandonment, malnourishment, and soiled clothing. Self neglect such as failure to maintain medical appointments, lack of glasses, dentures, hearing aids, exploitation such as the disappearance of possessions, overcharged home repairs, inadequate living environment, forced control of finances, little or no money for food and basic necessities.
