Eligibility
For pregnant mothers and children birth - 3 years old. Must meet one of the following qualifications: family income at or below federal poverty guidelines; receiving certain forms of public assistance (TANF/FEP or SSI); applying on behalf of a foster child placed in DCFS custody; currently homeless. Mountainland Head Start may also serve a limited number of children with special needs who would not otherwise qualify for services.

Twice per month, the program offers opportunities for parents and children to come together as a group in the classroom for learning, discussion, and socialization activities.
